Xiaomi has quickly become the jack of all trades when it comes to tech products as they have dabbled in virtually every type of devices in a very short period of time. Odds are, if you’re looking for it then Xiaomi’s got it which includes the follow-up to the original Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 that we’ve all been waiting for.
It took no time at all for consumers to look toward the 2nd generation Mi Pad since launching this time last year, and we’ve found out it’s finally, almost here. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 was just spotted running through China’s pre-launch certification process and it was given the final seal of approval before becoming available for consumers.
Xiaomi’ Mi Pad 3 looks just as impressive as we knew it would, and it doesn’t look like we’ll waiting much longer. With Xiaomi already scheduling a huge announcement, or two on April 22nd which could also be the unveiling of the 3rd gen Mi Pad.
Earlier today, we revealed the April 22nd announcement would include the unveiling of the Xiaomi MI 6 and could also be the announcement for the new Mi Pad. Conflicting rumors suggest Xiaomi is likely to wait a couple of days and unveil the Mi Pad 3 on the 24th of this month.
As of now, there have been no confirmations on the specs and features for the Mi Pad 3, but there’s been a whole lot of speculation. Expect to see both Windows 10 Mobile and the latest version of Nougat, Android 7.0 pre-installed. During Q1 of 2017 a Nougat rollout will start which will include an OTA install for Android 7.0.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 specs are likely to include a 10” display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 6GB RAM, 20 MP rear camera, and an Intel Atom processor. With much more to come when the official word is given, which sounds like it’ll only be a matter of days.
